Asbestos

Asbestos Containing Materials: Asbestos, a group of six naturally occurring silicate minerals, has been widely used since the 19th century in various products like roofing materials, floor tiles, insulation, and more.

Fungi (Mold) Testing

Moisture control is the key to mold control. Molds need both food and water to survive; since molds can digest most things, water is the factor that limits mold growth. Molds will often grow in damp or wet areas indoors.

Laboratory

JLC's in-house laboratory helps us provide building constituent and other sampling results to our clients quickly. JLC's analytical lab is certified by New York State - Dept. of Health.

Lead (PCB) Testing

Lead is present in various parts of our environment, including the air, soil, water, and homes. Human activities, such as past use of leaded gasoline, certain industrial facilities, and lead-based paint in homes, contribute to our exposure.

Training

Failsafe Training Co., a division of JLC, has been providing environmental health and safety training since 2000. Failsafe has taught courses in South Korea for the Army Corp of Engineers as well as various locations throughout the United States.

Environmental Site Assessments (Phase 1)

Environmental Site Assessments (Phase 1): An Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is a report for real estate holdings that identifies potential or existing environmental contamination liabilities. It evaluates both the land and physical improvements on the property. Contaminated sites are commonly known as "brownfield sites."
