Since 1987, JLC has completed over 35,000 projects throughout the tri-state area, nationally and internationally. JLC carries $5,000,000 insurance coverage and has a staff of 30 dedicated environmental professionals.
About us
Our founder, Jennifer Carey started out as a project manager testing air quality at the Exxon Refinery in Linden, New Jersey. She created JLC Environmental in New York City during the real estate crash of 1987. A biology major with a deep interest in environmental issues, she and her team of managers has grown what began as an air testing company into a full service environmental health and safety consulting practice.
JLC is a New York City and New York State certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) which makes us an excellent partner on a variety of public and private sector projects.
